The AudioNec of France was back, this time with its Signature Response Signatures V2, a scaled-down version of the speaker response I heard last year. Like the Response, it also uses a DSP hopper and AudioNec’s unique wideband, dipole, AMT driver, the element that looks a bit like two giant rolls of end-to-end paper towels from 200Hz to 20 kHz (with a ribbon supertweeter on High). As was the case in 2011, the AudioNecs produced a very delicate sound with terrific transients and very good tone on sax, drum, percussion and trumpet.
